Push to Talk

Push to talk (PTT) is instant communication where you push a button to go from voice reception to voice transmit. Common PTT devices are walkie-talkies, two-way radios, and CB radios. It is also used in wireless phone services when you can switch from full-duplex mode, where both parties can hear and communication simulataneously to half-duplex mode, where only one can speak at a time.
